1Platform & Setup
What is DRIN PRO and how does it differ from a traditional PBX?
DRIN PRO is a fully cloud-based UCaaS (Unified Communication as a Service) platform built on Yeastar P-Series Cloud Edition. Unlike a traditional on-premise PBX, it requires no proprietary hardware: PBX, video conferencing, chat and call centre services are delivered from ISO 27001-certified Italian datacenters, with activation in under 24 hours and instant scalability.
How long does activation take?
Standard activation takes 4-8 working hours from order confirmation. For Enterprise plans or custom configurations (geographic number porting, CRM integrations, multi-site) the time may extend to 24-48 hours. The Skillworks team supports the customer through every onboarding phase.
What are the minimum connectivity requirements?
For each concurrent call, a bandwidth of 100 kbps with G.729 codec or 64 kbps with G.711 is recommended. The connection must have jitter below 30 ms and packet loss under 0.5%. A dedicated or business fiber line with QoS enabled on SIP/RTP traffic is recommended.
Can I migrate my existing phone number?
Yes, DRIN PRO supports porting of geographic numbers (02, 06, 011...), mobile and national numbers to the cloud platform. The porting process takes an average of 15-30 working days and is managed entirely by the Skillworks team, keeping the old number active until completion.
Does DRIN PRO support multi-site configurations?
Yes. The platform allows managing multiple sites with a single distributed PBX: each site can have its own extension range, opening hours, IVR and separate queues, with free internal calls between sites and a single centralised administration.
Can I customise my PBX address?
Yes. You can customise the first part of the FQDN (the PBX name), while the domain remains fixed on
[myname].dc1.yeastarcloud.it or [myname].dc2.yeastarcloud.it depending on the assigned datacenter. For example, a company "Smith Ltd" can obtain smithltd.dc1.yeastarcloud.it. The PBX name is chosen during onboarding and can be changed later by request to support.
Which operating systems and browsers are supported?
The admin panel is accessible from any modern browser: Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari (last 2 versions). Linkus clients are available for Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS and Android. No additional plugins are required.
Can I try DRIN PRO before purchasing?
Yes, a 30-day free trial is available with all features enabled. At the end of the trial you can convert to a subscription while keeping the configuration and data. Request a demo from the form on the Contact page.
How does data backup work?
Backup is automatic and daily, with 30-day retention. Data is replicated in real time to the secondary DC2 Bologna datacenter for Disaster Recovery, with RPO of 1 hour and RTO of 4 hours as specified in the SLA.
Is DRIN PRO GDPR-compliant?
Yes, DRIN PRO is fully GDPR-compliant. Data is hosted in Italian datacenters owned by Skillworks S.r.l., the Data Processing Agreement is available on the GDPR & DPA page, and no data is transferred outside the EU (except for third-party AI services with adequate safeguards).
2Calls & Features
What types of calls are supported?
DRIN PRO supports internal and external VoIP calls, outbound calls to PSTN (national/international landlines and mobiles), inbound calls with geographic DIDs, audio and video conference calls. Supported codecs include G.711, G.722, G.729, Opus and standard SIP 2.0 protocol.
Can I receive calls from toll-free or geographic numbers?
Yes. DRIN PRO supports toll-free (800 equivalent), urban (02, 06, 011...), national and international numbers in over 60 countries. Numbers can be activated directly from the admin console or requested from the Skillworks team.
How does IVR (voice menu) work?
IVR allows creating multi-level voice menus with custom messages in multiple languages (IT/EN/ES + others). You can configure differentiated opening hours, caller-based routing, external database integration via API, and speech-to-text for automatic selection transcription.
Is inbound call centre supported?
Yes. DRIN PRO includes complete inbound call centre features with multiple queues, distribution strategies (ring all, round robin, longest idle, skills-based), custom hold music, automatic callback and real-time supervisor dashboards with agent status monitoring, queued calls and response SLA tracking.
Can I record calls?
Yes. Call recording is available on all plans and supports always-on recording, on-demand (press *1) or selective per extension. Audio files are saved in encrypted WAV/MP3 format, with configurable retention (default 12 months) and access through granular permissions.
Does three-way calling and call transfer work?
Yes, both. DRIN PRO supports three-way conferences, blind and attended transfer, hold/resume, park & pickup, intercom and paging. All functions are accessible from Linkus desktop/mobile clients and compatible IP phones.
Are ring groups supported?
Yes. Ring Groups (simultaneous ringing to multiple extensions), Hunt Groups (sequential ringing with custom strategies) and Paging Groups (one-way announcement to multiple extensions) are available. Each group supports timeout, fallback to voicemail or IVR, and activity hours.
Are calls between extensions free and unlimited?
Yes. All calls between DRIN PRO extensions — even between different sites of the same corporate group — are free and unlimited, regardless of the subscribed plan. They do not consume minutes included in the plan and do not generate additional costs. Internal traffic remains end-to-end encrypted within the Italian cloud infrastructure.
How does voicemail work?
Each extension has a personal voicemail with email notification (audio attachment + AI transcription if active), web access, custom greeting, and PIN protection. Voicemail-to-email forwarding rules can be configured according to user preferences, with custom notifications for hours and days.
Can I block unwanted calls (spam)?
Yes. DRIN PRO integrates a spam blocking system with manual blacklist, IP auto-defense with Fail2Ban, country access restriction (blocking entire countries), and behaviour-based spam pattern detection. Administrators receive monthly reports on blocked calls.
3Linkus Client & Devices
On which devices can I use Linkus?
Linkus is available as a mobile app for iOS and Android, desktop client for Windows, macOS and Linux, and web client accessible from the browser. All clients support calls, chat, presence, file sharing and video calls. See Linkus Clients.
Which IP phones are compatible?
DRIN PRO supports major IP phones through standard SIP auto-provisioning: Yeastar T-Series, Fanvil, Grandstream, Sangoma, Snom, Yealink and Cisco SPA. The full list is available on Compatible Phones, with pre-configured provisioning templates.
Can I use my mobile phone as a business phone?
Yes, with the Linkus Mobile app your smartphone becomes a full business extension: you can make and receive calls with the company number, access the shared directory, chat with colleagues and transfer calls — keeping your private number hidden and separating personal/work traffic.
Does Linkus support video calling?
Yes. Linkus supports 1-to-1 video calls up to 1080p and multi-party video conferences up to 100 participants (Enterprise+ plans). Screen sharing, integrated text chat, meeting recording and Google/Microsoft calendar integration are supported.
Does it work offline?
An active internet connection is required for VoIP calls. However, Linkus Mobile can receive push notifications even when the app is closed, ensuring you never miss important calls. Chat supports message queuing and automatic sending when the connection is restored.
Can I use Bluetooth headsets?
Yes. Linkus Mobile and Desktop support Bluetooth and USB headsets (Jabra, Plantronics, Sennheiser, Logitech). On desktop you can configure the preferred audio device for calls and hold music separately.
What should I do if audio quality is low?
Check: 1) internet connection (jitter <30ms, packet loss <0.5%), 2) codec in use (prefer G.722 or Opus), 3) router QoS enabled for SIP/RTP traffic, 4) correct audio device. If the issue persists, open a ticket on Support with a Linkus diagnostic test attached.
Can I use Linkus on multiple devices at the same time?
Yes, the same extension can be registered on multiple devices (e.g. desktop + mobile + web) simultaneously. Incoming calls will ring on all, outgoing calls can be initiated from any device, and presence updates in real time on all clients.
Does DRIN PRO support video intercoms for access control?
Yes. DRIN PRO supports integration with certified Fanvil video intercoms (e.g. i10/i20/i30 series): calls from the intercom are received on Linkus clients (desktop, mobile, web) with two-way audio and video preview of the visitor before opening the door. Door release can be triggered directly from the client via DTMF or API, with the ability to take a photo of the guest and log the event in the access log.
Is Linkus accessible to people with disabilities?
Yes, Linkus complies with WCAG 2.1 AA guidelines: screen reader support (NVDA, VoiceOver, JAWS), full keyboard navigation, high contrast mode, adjustable text size. For specific accessibility requests, contact Support.
4AI & Advanced Features
What is AI Receptionist?
AI Receptionist is an LLM-based virtual assistant that answers incoming calls in natural language, handles bookings, provides company information and routes calls to the correct department. It supports IT/EN/ES + other languages and operates 24/7 with no wait. See AI Receptionist.
How does AI call transcription work?
Recorded calls are sent to an AI engine (OpenAI Whisper, Google, or ElevenLabs) that generates real-time text transcription with >95% accuracy. Transcripts are searchable, exportable and can be used for analytics and automatic summary. See AI Transcription.
Which AI model is used?
DRIN PRO supports multiple selectable AI models: OpenAI GPT-4 (for conversation agents), Google Gemini (for multilingual transcription), ElevenLabs (for natural TTS), Amazon Transcribe (for compliance). The model choice depends on the use case and subscribed plan.
Is call data sent to third parties?
Only for explicitly activated AI services. Transcriptions are sent to AI providers (OpenAI, Google, ElevenLabs, Amazon) exclusively for the requested processing, with GDPR safeguards (Standard Contractual Clauses, no training use). Disabling AI services means no data leaves the Italian datacenter.
How can I disable AI services if I don't want to use them?
All DRIN PRO AI services (Receptionist, Transcription, Voice Synthesis) are optional and individually activatable. The administrator can disable them at any time from the administrative console, "AI Services" section. Once disabled, no data leaves the Italian datacenter and calls are handled exclusively by the PBX without AI processing. Disabling is immediate and requires no system restart.
Can I integrate DRIN PRO with my CRM?
Yes. DRIN PRO supports native integration with Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho, Pipedrive and custom CRMs via REST API/Webhooks. The integration enables click-to-call, screen pop-ups with customer cards, call recording linked to the contact, and automatic activity sync.
Are automated outbound campaigns possible?
Yes. The Outbound Call Center module supports predictive, preview and power dialing campaigns, with automatic dialing, callback management, dynamic scripts and detailed reports. It is ideal for telesales, surveys, dunning and proactive customer care. See Outbound Call Center.
Does DRIN PRO support WhatsApp and messaging?
Yes. Through the Omnichannel Messaging module you can manage WhatsApp Business, Facebook Messenger and Telegram from a single console, with conversations assigned to operators, unified history and integrated AI bot. Activation of the WhatsApp Business API channel is required.
Can I build custom integrations via API?
Yes. DRIN PRO exposes complete REST APIs to manage users, calls, queues, IVR, recording and billing. API documentation is available and includes SDKs for Python, Node.js, PHP. Webhooks are supported for real-time events (incoming call, call end, voicemail received).
Is there a module for hotel management?
Yes. The Hotel Management module integrates with standard PMS (Oracle Opera, Mews, Cloudbeds) to manage check-in/check-out, room services, wakeup calls, direct billing, and integration with AI Receptionist for 24/7 guest requests. See Hotel Management.
